The League Cup: City Reach Their First Objective in 2016

After losing the FA Cup in the 5th round earlier this month, Manchester City beat Liverpool in the Football League Cup final last night.

The scoreline was level 1-1 until the end of extra time, so the winners should be settled by penalty shootouts. Pellegrini’s team won the shootouts 3-1 against Klopp’s team.

While they are falling behind league leaders Leicester City in the EPL, Manchester City are looking good in the UCL and seem already have one leg in the quarter final after beating Dynamo Kiev 3-1 away.
Congrats to Manchester City, the winners of 2015/16 English League Cup.
