International Break part 4: German’s Football So Far

Both Bayern Muenchen and Borussia Dortmund have won their latest football fixture away from home last weekend. This two teams are runaway leaders in Bundesliga with 16 points gap with the chasing pack. And there are 5 points gap between league leaders Bayern and second place Dortmund.

Unlike other top leagues in Europe which have 20 teams in their top divisions, German have only 18 teams in their top football division. It means there are only 34 games total to be played for each team in Bundesliga. Each team have played 27 games so far and no title have been won yet.

Two German’s teams, Bayern and Wolfsburg, are still competing in the Champions League and have made it to quarter-finals. While Dortmund are in the quarters of Europa League.

Both Bayern and Dortmund have progressed to the semis of DFB Pokal. We will see their next performances after the international break.
